The bench plan for an easy to make wooden bench involves the following articles: wood, paint, brush, pencil, glued, wooden screws, band saw, drill, Sander hand and sandpaper, carpenter squad. Pieces of wood should be cut out according to the measurements provided for the legs. The legs need to be strong and firm. Once the legs are structured, the seat plank should be glued with adhesive to it and allowed to dry out. Then holes have to be drilled vertically onto the seat and in these holes the screws must be tightened. The seat corners have to be rounded off and the wooden surface has to be rubbed smooth with sand paper before the application of paint. The bench plan talks of a further strengthened basis by placing triangular pieces of wood as support between the seat and the legs.
Some upholstered benches can also be used for storage, so you might want to consider this type of bench if you need a little extra storage space. The best thing about using this type of bench for storage is that no one needs to even realize that the bench is serving a dual purpose. Just tuck your items away inside the bench, close the seat, and no one even realizes that the bench is a storage unit. Even a thin bench can have a bit of storage space inside of it, especially if the bench is meant to be a piano bench.
